The Curious Diabetic is a blog about the exploration of all the things that improve the life of a Type 1 diabetic.

I’ve been a type-1 diabetic for decades, tirelessly carving out information, observing, studying and untangling all the confusion that came from doctors, online information and gurus.

I know the frustrations and mental toll of living with type-1 diabetes.
A work meeting ruined by a hypoglycaemia that impedes concentration.
An evening with friends turning into a dungeon of stress, chasing after the blood sugar craziness.
A meeting or a social gathering you can’t enjoy because you can’t eat a certain food, or you can’t eat at all.

I’ve been there.

I could not go on living like that, so I decided to turn diabetes into my golden opportunity to understand my health, the levers I can pull and the factors I should be aware of in order to live a normal life.

So I set myself the goal of running marathons, eating the food I love in abundance and achieving 90% time in range. And I did it, stress free!

It is now my mission to help anybody on this planet who wants to become a “black belt” of diabetes management and live everyday life with a big smile on their face.

I have things to share when it comes to mastering diabetes.
And I want to share them with you!
Welcome, let’s master diabetes together!
